Bornakk:
Q u o t e:
Just so that it is clear Bornakk. We aren’t trying to flame the forums on this issue. Me and every PvPer that I know has really high hopes for Wintergrasp and past attempts to have world PvP objectives have been utter failures. Some of the comments that were coming out of Blizz on Wintergrasp gave me hope but now after reading the newer information I am very concerned again.
The basic things that have to happen to make Wintergrasp work are:
#1. It needs to have some best in slot PvP items.
#2. Spending long periods as a ghost sucks. Make rezzing work just as it does in BG’s.
#3. You commented on this but you have to adjust for faction differences. You cannot do this just with the percentage of population because a server might have a much larger population of Alliance players but the Horde side has a much larger percentage of PvPers.
#4. We don’t care about PvE buffs and rewards. We will not PvP for this purpose.
#1. This is mainly brought up due to comparisons to Halaa. The gear for Halaa wasn't designed for high end level 70 characters, hence the complaints regarding it, but Lake Wintergrasp is being designed this way so it should work out just fine.
#2. You can PvP as a ghost can't you? Oh wait, you can't. More info will be available on this in the future.
#3. We don't want one faction to control it 24/7, more details will be available in the future.
#4. While this is true, some PvE players just might, which includes more people in the fight and if there are already PvP rewards, it won't hurt anything.
I realize this isn't a big splurge of information, but I wanted to point out that we understand all of these concerns.
